ABSN Program Site North of Seattle, Washington

Our satellite ABSN program site is north of Seattle, Washington, in Lynnwood, approximately 40 miles from the Pacific Lutheran University campus in Tacoma. We enroll ABSN students three times a year in February, June and September.

As an accelerated nursing student, you will learn the fundamentals of nursing practice online and convert that knowledge into psychomotor skills at our ABSN program site and local healthcare facilities.

Designed just for ABSN students, the site houses state-of-the-art nursing skills and simulation labs, offices, classrooms and a student lounge. Students must live within driving distance of the site because they regularly attend labs and take proctored exams at this location.

Why Study Nursing in the Seattle Metro Area?

Aside from being home to our 16-month ABSN program, Seattle has some of the best healthcare systems and facilities in the Pacific Northwest, including the University of Washington Medical Center, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 37,120 registered nurses worked in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metropolitan area as of 2022. These nurses had median annual salaries ranging from $80,770 to $132,970—higher than the national average.

For the state of Washington, CareerOneStop projects registered nurse employment to grow 16% between 2020 and 2030, higher than the 6% growth expected nationally.

So what does all of this mean? It means that once you graduate from our ABSN program and earn your nursing license, there will be plenty of career opportunities worth pursuing in the area.
